Let’s start with the Superstay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick (pictured above), which is an extremely pigmented, long-lasting (16 hours) matte formula. Found in 10 saturated shades, the wand applicator lets you control the placement of the product as it dries down to a the perfect weightless feel and look. Available for $9.49 at stores like CVS.
Another lineup of 10 shades, this time quite creamy, the Color Sensational Matte Metallics Lips ticks, can take your shades in quite the statement-making direction. Serpentine, a divine green, or Gunmetal, a conspicuous blue, will make your lips the centerpiece of your features, or go for more subtle shades that still have a pop of metallic sheen and sparkle in Molten Bronze or Hot Lava. Available for $7.49 at stores like Target.
Whereas the Superstay Matte Ink is a pro at keeping things, well, matte, the Color Sensational Vivid Hot Lacquer does the same for a shiny finish. With the largest color variety (12), although it goes on in liquid form, the colors are amply opaque and vibrant as they are bold and glossy. Available for $7.99 at sites like Jet.com.
