Orico (Organic Rich Ingredients in Cosmetics and Oils) comes fro across the pond the UK, to be exact), and although it may be made thousands of miles away, it relegates its line of skin care products to address all of the same issues that we have over here, namely pollution, air-conditioning, heating, and stress. Even on a smaller scale, such as flying on a plane, at least for me, my skin tends to get super dry and blotchy, so it’s good to have a natural solution in my SOS (Save our Skin!) kit.
It’s got the right lineup of being conscious to contemporary beauty needs and expectations, such as all-natural ingredients that are Ecocert Certified Organic, as well as free from parabens, synthetic ingredients, cruelty free, and uses the least amount of packaging possible.
I recently tested three products from the brand, and here’s a quick rundown of each (and if you like what you read, shop the line at OricoLondon.com):
Orico Skin Brunch Kukui Rejuvenating Mask($45): I first encountered kukui oil as a treatment for mosquito bites while in Hawaii, and vigorously saught it out once I was back in NYC. The mask is ultra light, possesses a white hue, and by using orange essential oil it purifies the skin, removing build-up from clogged pores while promoting cell regeneration and moisture.
Orico Superseed Vitamin Dry Multi-Oil ($43): The brand offers other dry oils, but this one is a blockbuster combo of baobab, rosehip, macadamia, wheat, and sunflower seed oils that can be used on hair, face, body, and even cuticles. Plus, you won’t go too heavy on the oil as it absorbs quickly once dispensed through an atomizer spray.
Orico Skin Jive Revving Body Exfoliator($31): Also white in its hue and extremely finely milled, this exfoliant includes coconut oil to hydrate and act as an antibacterial, alongside other natural extracts and oils such as kigelia, baobab, fatty acids, and a variety of vitamins. Once you exfoliate the skin, it will be more willing to receive and lock in the moisture, so it’s ideal to make this the first step before layering on the other products.
