From our friends at thefind.com:
Though much of Phillip Lim’s highly-anticipated collection for Target is long gone by now (*shakes fist*), there’s still plenty of buzz surrounding one of the megastore’s most successful collaborations yet. I’ll be honest – I often flock to the stores (or to the Target site at midnight from the comfort of my own bed) to shop the designer capsule collections just for the sake of doing so – from Rodarte to Jason Wu, Prabal Gurung and coming in February 2014, Peter Pilotto! beyond – even when I don’t even want the pieces that badly!
But Target’s take on 3.1 Phillip Lim was definitely an exception. It was probably one of the most similar bargain-friendly takes on the “real thing” in the history of Target collabos, from the near-replica Pashli-inspired bags to the color-detailed trenches, and of course, the comic book sweaters! The bad news is: a) your likeliest chance of getting your hands on the ridiculously cute Target “Boom” is probably on eBay, and b) a main-line 3.1 Phillip Lim sweater will set you back a healthy $500 or more. The good news? You can still find plenty of on-trend, affordable comic book-inspired pieces at Forever 21! Seriously, though!
