There are so many things that we can successfully manipulate and control, however the weather perennially stands as a non-negotiable. Every day I hope that it doesn’t rain on my outdoor nuptials this July, but all I can do is just hope for the best. In the meanwhile, we’ve got the winter to address, and I like to make an attempt to not look to blasé and bundled, if I can help it.
Above, I added an extra layer of warmth, and a great pop of color with a poncho paired over a well-tailored leather jacket, but I think that a tight fitting vest and a long sleeve shirt with an interesting print or stripes would look utterly chic peering out from below the poncho as well.
Next up is a triple wrapped scarf in a fairisle pattern, which adds a bit of texture, warmth, and softness to the sleekness of a leather jacket. It will feel so great to bury my face into it when the sun goes down and the air is brisk. I definitely will need to add some gloves and a hat eventually into my look, but for now, I’m enjoying the scarf and poncho options.
What are your favorite accessories for added style and warmth when the weather gets cold?
