[Morgan Taylor & Gelish nail art derived from colors for the upcoming seasons]
I tested out first hand (pun intended) the fall color collection from Morgan Taylor and Gelish, at Paintbox Salon last week, which brought the lineup’s theme of “Urban Cowgirl” to life, thanks to the appearance of Chocolate Chip, the sweet Shetland pony from Brooklyn, drinks out of mason jars, and a general sartorial motif of cowgirl-ness. The colors are at once feminine and modern, in an array of six colors that appear in both the Morgan Taylor Lacquer Collection and that of Gelish, soak-off gel polish which is cured under a mini Gelish lamp, and lasts up to 21 days.
My favorite shade for fall is Holy Cow Girl!, a sage green crème, with the rest of the fall collection including Pumps or Cowboy Boots? (a black/brown crème), Plum Tuckered Out (a plum crème), Tex’as Me Later (a copper/pink pearl), Tan My Hide (a pale nude crème), A Touch of Sass (a dark red crème; Morgan Taylor exclusively); From Rodeo to Rodeo Drive –(a taupe crème; Gelish MINI exclusively).
Also available was a look at holiday 2015, the Gifted with Style Collection, featuring deep reds and purples, with two metallic shades (Tinsel My Fancy and Gifted In Platinum) stealing the show. I used Gifted in Platinum on the “moon” portion of my half moon manicure, and the color was quite a lovely accent, if I do say so myself!
