Just because your skin doesn’t fit into the categories of just oily, dry, or normal should you feel frustrated. If you have problems with sensitivity, rosacea, acne, allergies, and more, then nagivating the product aisle can prove to be challenging AND time consuming. I hope to simplify things for you with some great products for face and body, ranging from face wash to nail polish, shaving cream to sunscreen, that are mindful of sensitive skin issues. See above for a slideshow of top picks that will easily move you through your summer beauty and sun protection routine, which also can work year ’round.

Great Gift Ideas: Still Stumped? We’ve Got Your Solutions!

Everything about the NARS Andy Warhol Collection is pretty amazing, so why not make a gorgeous presentation and gift some of the items to your bestie? 2(X)ist Times Square Pop-Up Store is happening now through Christmas Day (located at 40th Street and Broadway), with 25% off all merchandise, along with all the sales going to Hurricane Sandy relief. Pretty swell, don’t you think? You can always shop the brand online or at your favorite retailer as well, but we thought this was certainly worth a mention, particularly since FPD stopped by and had a grand ‘ol time!

Alex Blake has a dizzying array of fashion tights are a GREAT stocking stuffer and will be the fashionable gift that just keeps on giving (well…until you rip them, that is!). I recently tested some of Charnos brand tights, and was smitten with the thickness, durability, stylishness, and affordability of them.

Elizabeth Arden Red Door Aura Eau de Toilette Spray is a modern re-interpretation of the iconic scent that made fragrant waves years ago, and now is revitalized with luscious notes of raspberry and Italian Bergamot ($65 for the 3.3 oz bottle)

Dove Body Washes make great stocking stuffers; I can’t lay claim to coming up with this idea though, as it was my Mom who put some in my stocking last year, and it ended up being the most practical gift I received! I recently tested and loved the Dove Purely Pampering Body Wash in Shea Butter with Warm Vanilla, but you can choose from 13 other varieties to suit your, or the gift recipient’s skin needs.

VMV Hypoallergenics: A Natural Choice, And a FashionPulseDaily Favorite!

There’s no denying I’m a huge fan of Dr. Vermen Verallo-Rowell’s line of products, VMV Hypoallergenics, with categories range from sun and light protection, to makeup, bath and body, skin care, men, baby, and more. I love using her Know-it-Oil, VCO (virgin coconut oil) as an all-over moisturizer, which comes in as a close second to my love of olive oil as a beauty product. I recently attended an information luncheon on her newest products at her gorgeous Union Square store and spa, and here are the newest items from the line. Skin the Bluff Concealer (pictured), $20, available in four shades (three skin tone and one yellow shade), this little fabulous pot o’ magic gets rid of blemishes, shadows, discoloration, and dark circles while preventing acne and darkening. It includes USA-certified virgin coconut oil, with anti-oxidants, sun protectors, and is 100% fragrance free, dye, phthalate, paraben, and other preservative -free.

Red Better Flare-Up Balm, $50, is a steroid-free salve that is amazingly gentle, yet effective when it comes to calming down inflammation such as rosacea, allergic reactions, bites, infections, eczema, rashes, you name it! This is non-comedogenic, has been usage, patch and clinically tested, and per usual for VMV, it is 100% fragrance free, dye, phthalate, paraben, and other preservative -free.
