vaseline royal jelly cream

The Skin Must-Have for Winter 2015

by Julia DiNardo

Extra, EXTRA dry skin in the winter isn’t a myth, but an unfortunate fact of life that needs to be fought all season long. If your skin is already on the dry side or tends to be prone to eczema, the colder months can be quite unwelcome.

Don’t give in to the discomfort and instead, go for the jelly! My skin must-have this season is the 7.1 ounce tub of Vaseline Intensive Care Deep Moisture Jelly Cream, which arrived at my door among a nice array of like-minded, yet edible condiments of actual gourmet jellies!

A creative tie-in was a nice compliment to this new cream, but just how a great spread of jelly can bring back a dry, possibly stale piece of toast to life, the Vaseline Intensive Care Deep Moisture Jelly Cream can combat extreme dryness, as it provides hydration to the skin by 250% for 18 hours. Vitamin E is found in its rich, smooth formula with micro-droplets of Vaseline Jelly, is hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic (meaning it won’t clog pores), unscented, and is completely safe for sensitive skin.

Plus, it also holds the National Eczema Association seal of approval, so those who are more prone to inflamed, itchy, irritated skin, like eczema, can rest assured that they will get the relief that they need.

So how do I make this skin must-have work for me? All it takes is about two minutes to incorporate Vaseline Intensive Care Deep Moisture Jelly Cream into my winter routine. It all begins with a nice, thin layering in of the product on my legs, starting at my ankles and working upward through my thighs, and then dabbling the remaining bit onto the tops of the feet and heels (these are commonly skipped body parts that do need extra love in the winter!). Next, I work on my arms, starting on the biceps and smoothing my way down, giving some TLC to the elbows and down the arms. Last, I take the tiniest bit and work into the cuticles, massaging the rest of the cream into my hands.

A little bit goes a long way, so if you initially scoop up a healthy dollop out of the jar, use the edges of it to remove some excess cream, and add in more to your skin if needed.
