I’ve always been a fan of T.J. Maxx and Marshalls, and have picked up some AMAZING pieces dirt cheap such as this jumper I wore to Fashion 2.0 ($16.99) , hilarious floor-cleaning slippers, and countless other items I have yet to photograph! I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the increasingly high-end labels I’ve found on the shelves and in the racks, ranging from Valentino and Ferragamo to Poleci and Diane von Furstenberg. While my Mom was in town visiting, we went to check out the brand new T.J. Maxx at 57th and 8th Avenue in NYC. There we discovered some great pieces by Valentino, See by Chloe, and BB Dakota. My pick was this buttery soft pale grey jacket with folds that fell in all the right places. I also love to check out all of the socks and hosiery, as I always find some funky and fabulous Betsey Johnson items as well as staples by brands like Hue and Ellen Tracy. Mom perused the home decor and holiday offerings with cutesy ornaments, candles, knick knacks, and table décor. Some of my holiday gift suggestions you can get on the cheap at T.J.’s or Marshalls are: wool socks (for him or her), luxe bath products, gourmet food, and brand name beauty appliances such as hair dryers, curling and straightening irons. Happy Holidays, and happy shopping!
[A Valentino jacket hangs on the same rounder as a See by Chloe Blouse (price range, $300 and $200, respectively)]
[A Valentino jacket in its signature red, $500, hangs next to a $24.99 sweater – love it! Only at T.J.’s]
[Mom oohing and ahhing over the holiday items]
[My takeaway, this BB Dakota jacket ($80) – tres chic!]
Disclosure: T.J.Maxx/Marshalls gave me a $50 gift card to shop the store.

It’s Time to Bow Out
I was scrolling through the pages of NeimanMarcus.com and melted at the sight of the Valentino Bow-Topped Over-the-Knee Boot. Amidst the other over-the-knee varieties, this sleek import of Italy stood out by more than 21″ due to its beautiful showcasing of a large bow.
Now, I’ll be honest — I’m not really a bow type of girl. My ballet flats never had a dainty bow on the toe and my coats always buckle or button shut, never tie into a bow. But these Valentino boots have swayed my anti-bow sentiments. I now find an over-sized bow to be daringly fashionable and who doesn’t like to push the boundaries every once in awhile, right?
But with my inspiration over-the-knee boots pushing over $1,500, these blushing bowed beauties are a bit out of reach to the normal gal who has to pay her cell phone bill, rent, and metro card, at the very least. So instead of devising get rich quick schemes, I decided to go on a bountiful bow scavenger hunt! If we can’t have the bows of Valentino, we shall find our bows elsewhere! Here’s what I came up with — which one is your favorite?

Handbag of the Month
Via lollieshopping:
Normally I take more time to decide on the Handbag of the Month. I mean, it is a very important decision, after all. However, when I received an email from Bergdorf Goodman advertising the Rose Vertigo Hobo by Valentino, I knew there was no other choice. Yes, the price tag is astounding, but so is the bag. I believe you get what you pay for. And if you can pay $2,395 for this gorgeous Valentino handbag, then you are getting a work of art you will appreciate your entire lifetime. I know I would.
While I’m featuring the red hobo style (it’s my favorite one) this stunning bag comes also as a tote, shopper, satchel and in various colors, such as black, taupe, blue, chocolate, gray and even hot pink. It’s pure love and pure genius.
