Animal prints have made their way back onto the style scene after a few decades of being exiled to the realm of tacky extinguished fads, and now it’s time for animal graphics to get another chance in the style spotlight! Forget what you know about animal motifs and cheesy knit sweaters – these modernized, ironic takes on knitwear may be partly inspired by the horrendous gifts our grandmothers used to create for us every Christmas, but they’ve got a much better sense of humor. Cute, quirky, and perfectly cozy for the nippy fall weather ahead, animal motif sweaters are a fun way to add flair and character to an otherwise boring work ensemble. Tuck in to a pencil skirt for a silly meets sophisticated look, or rock with leather-effect coated jeans and some combat boots for a sweet-yet-edgy contrasting ensemble.

From our friends at thefind.com:
As much as I’d love to jump onboard with all the 2012 Olympics excitement… the truth is, I’ve never really been that into the Olympics. Maybe it’s because there are just too many events to keep track of, maybe it’s because it gets in the way of all my favorite summer reality shows… or maybe it just conjures up bad memories of my own failed gymnastics dreams. In any case, if there’s one thing (besides chiseled swimmers’ abs) that can get me excited about all the sportsmanship and festivities, it’s Butter London’s limited-edition nail trio! The Olympics Heavy Medal nail lacquer trio is just about the most adorable idea ever, in equally adorable packaging. Three shiny metallic shades in the games’ signature Gold, Silver, and Bronze make for a perfect festive set to help you get in the competitive mood!
And at $36, it’s a steal you won’t want to have to wait another four years for!

The whole “fit-and-flared” trend that took summer sundresses by storm is starting to branch out to invade everything from our tops, skirts, and jackets to boot! Peplum has always been a rather tricky shape to pull off – How much flare is too flared? How do I choose a shape that still flatters my own proportions? – but these peplum tanks make mastering the trend a cinch! Add an instant dose of girliness to an otherwise tomboy-chic ensemble by pairing one of these chic tanks with some tailored shorts and a cropped blazer, or rock with your favorite pair of colored or coated jeans. Easy-peasy! Not only does it help cinch in your waist to enhance your figure (and provide extra wiggle room if you’ve gone a little too overboard with all that yummy summer party food!), but the skirted style also adds effortless chicness in a way that’s still comfortable!

From our friends at thefind.com:
As avid fashion mavens, shoppers, and trend watchers, we’ve always heard that “less is more.” Sometimes we take that into consideration (ie: the simple yet iconic little black dress, the moderate use of bronzer), while other times we tend to throw that mantra to the wayside for the sake of fashion risks – for better or worse (ie: denim-on-denim ensembles, sequined leopard print). The latest trend in blouses, the embellished collar, appeals to both our love of conservative-chic pieces and our undeniable temptation to rebel.
