As my nuptials are less than six months away (eeeeek!) I can’t help but still revel in all things wedding-related. From buying specific shape and sized-vintage milk glass vases to organizing all events surrounding the Big Day, I’ve certainly got a fair of work still cut out for me, however the really fun for me, naturally, comes down to the apparel, accessories, and makeup! I will be adding more about the latter soon, but for the time being, I was able to focus on the intimate details of what I will wear with the team at The White Gown, where we discussed everything to my personal style to thoughts on headpieces, sashes, wraps, jewelry, shoes, and more for my July wedding.
I’m still on the hunt for a great little capelet or wrap to accompany my dress, which has proven a challenge with a dramatic back design and high neckline on my gown. The gals at The White Gown provided alternatives and suggestions to work with what I need, and my only regret is that I wish I would have discovered the shop sooner!
Located in the DUMBO neighborhood of Brooklyn, the shop is an approachable and casual yet opulent experience in the bridal gown hunt. Many clients express that they are ‘not your average bride’ which is exactly how I felt as well when I started this process. The shop excels in customer service, and does in-house alterations and customization, along with making jewelry, veils, birdcages, headbands, sashes, capelets and more to enhance your bridal look. See above for my in-depth experience via the images from my store visit.
