The Limited celebrated its first full figure clothing line, eloquii,  this past week at the Cooper Street Hotel. FashionPulseDaily was lucky to partake in the official launch party celebrating a love of both fashion and curves.

Brand ambassador Gabi Fresh (check out her fantastic blog!) looked radiant in a golden dress from eloquii, proving the clothing was designed for, and inspired by real full-figured women, unwilling to sacrifice their love of fashion. I listened while Gabi explained how necessary quality and fit were to the production. She fills the void for the generation of curvy women, women beyond a size 16.

With everything from leather bombers to skinny jeans to sheath dresses and capes, no trend has been left out. The creamy tuxedo jacket with black lapels is ideal to polish off any look.

The collection of 22 styles, ranging from size 14 to 24, will be available online only beginning today, Tues. November 1st. The site even offers the “Shape My Style” feature, a personal shopper of sorts, to help those who struggle with finding the right silhouette and fit – a plus, indeed (pun intended!)

Last night, The Limited showed their Fall/Winter 2010 collection, featuring pieces by veteran designer Jodi Arnold, sure to get you in the mood for slinky jersey, lace, perfectly tailored skirts, a drop of hardware here and there, and feminine statement tops. The rest of the collection from the Limited featured well put-together looks for work (a few of my favorite, above), proving that the pencil skirt is certainly still in, and don’t hesitate to pair it with their signature open gauge knit Forenza sweaters. Spotted was also some great cuts for leather coats, worn denim, and fabulous jewelry.

Is there a store in your life you can avoid neither walking past nor stopping to stare every time you walk past? For me, Jodi Arnold is one of them. A block away from where I live, it is a store I walk past every day, only to find myself distracted by interesting silhouettes and elegant embellishments. Fortunately for spring 2010, the New York designer has collaborated with The Limited to create a collection that combines The Limited‘s practical styles with her signature aesthetics as well. Beads? Check. Prints? Check. Ruffles? Check. Sparkle? Can’t miss that. Undoubtedly Jodi Arnold’s collection of dresses, tops, bottoms, and rompers are appropriate for both Wall Street and Madison Avenue. Feel like glamming it up a bit on a weekday? Done!

The Limited has really stepped up their game lately; with a strong fall/winter showing that re-launched the famous Forenza sweater, The Limited seems poised to reclaim its fashion territory. Spring 2010 was a great mix of business attire separates as well as casual pieces such as boyfriend jeans and nautical-inspired blazers and tops. What am I most looking forward to? I have to admit that I think the more formal looks were my favorites. Spot-on with a definite contemporary feel, these looks were styled just right and in the perfect color palette, will definitely be a hit for spring:

I’m on display in the window at 134 Spring Street for the debut of The Limited’s pop-up store-three days only! It’s just me, the models, some chic Limited duds, and the Mac computer. Some people have walked right up to the glass and are peering in-they should come in since this is only until the 17th of October!

**So back to today! The Limited is thrilled to announce the re-launch of the Forenza sweater, their #1 selling sweater in the ’80s. I’m sure either you, your sister, or the coolest girl at school had one. It’s the open gauge, all consuming sweater that you pull over your head, although now the limited has them in duster-styles that look fab belted, as well as in oversized scarves that you can wrap and manipulate into tops!

Let’s jump to the suiting: I love the blazers, and to quote Rachel Zoe, “I die!” I’m wearing this in the window, the elastic sleeve jacket.

So now that you’ve seen a few of my favorite items from The Limited,  is it time to get shopping? If you’re a budget-conscious fashionista, then I think you may very well be in for a treat, especially when you can get a suit for $150 and dresses for evening priced around $80. Just like the 80s and 90s are back in fashion, so is The Limited!
