It’s not every day that you get to share your honeymoon with…all of the readers of a major publication! I’m so thrilled that our story and imagery was selected to represent an example of a great Hawaiian honeymoon in The Knot‘s fall 2014 national edition. This was such a perfect commemoration of our one-year anniversary, as exactly a year prior to the day, we were on a beach in Hawaii, sipping on Mai Tais!
If you haven’t been to Hawaii yet, please do add it to the top of your travel bucket list, as the majestic beauty, delicious, fresh food, and friendly people of the islands makes for quite a memorable experience. We managed to stay on budget by cashing in a ton of credit card points/miles that had been accumulating for a year and a half, redeemed toward on our flights and car rentals, and we would occasionally pick up food from the grocery store and cook meals or bring food with us during our stay.
See below for the page dedicated to our honeymoon, along with the not-to-miss pic of me digging right into the coffee beans (Don’t worry, it’s sanitary! Visitors were allowed to touch a special section of the beans on the coffee tour). For more pics from our “big event,” check out the edited selection of our wedding photos, featured in The Knot’s “real weddings” section.
