Fashion Pulse Daily For Sunglass Hut: The Campaign

As part of the Style Coalition campaign for Sunglass Hut, I recently sported two retro glam looks, donning two amazing vintage-inspired sunglass silhouettes: Coach aviators, and Vogue Cat Eye frames (sold exclusively at Sunglass Hut).  These are the final images from the campaign, and I am thrilled to tell you what an incredible experience it has been!

I incorporated my own slice of personal style into these looks, such as edgy jewelry, shocking pink French nail tips, and either a very bold, or very neutral lip hue.   My signature fashion and beauty styles melded quite well with the retro theme, and the shades were the final, essential touch that made the looks extra sharp, and naturally, chic. A fun, subtle fashion detail: see the edge of the heel peeking out from below my pant leg below? That pink hue PERFECTLY matches my finger nails!

It’s really incredible how versatile, and easily malleable, one’s style can become just by taking two seconds to put on a pair of shades; it instantly can change one’s look, compliment their facial features, and is a perfect, quick fix for exhaustion or a day that you decide to go sans makeup! I also discovered how universally flattering aviators can be; I never thought I had an “aviator face,” but giving this Coach classic a try, I ended up being delightedly convinced otherwise! The roundness and slight gradient of the lenses played beautifully with a glam jumpsuit, prepped for summer courtesy of the sleeveless design and sheer backing.

And who doesn’t love white for summer? More that a little white dress, the shapes and asymmetrical nature of the garment got an equal dose of the cool factor with the matching white cat eye frames with grey gradient lenses that, in my mind, made me look and feel red-carpet worthy. I could just hear people whispering as I walked down the street in this look, adorned by my Vogue shades “Wait — is she someone famous?! Must be!” Well, maybe no one will actually say that, but my confidence and twinkling eyes behind the shades will beg to differ!

Fashion Pulse Daily For Sunglass Hut: A Behind-The-Scenes Look!

My supermodel moment has arrived: thanks to the Style Coalition, Hearst, and Sunglass Hut, I am part of an upcoming campaign for summer! Wendy of Nitro: licious and Karen of Where Did U Get That are my comrades in the campaign, which involved an amazing photo shoot consisting of two looks each, an array of designer, on-trend sunglass styles from Sunglass Hut to choose from, and loads of fun! For my shoot, my looks had more of a vintage-inspired theme to them; I think I have great style versatility in my aesthetic and wardrobe, however I ALWAYS seem to gravitate toward, and look right at home in a bevy of vintage looks.

For the first look, a red jumpsuit, I was a bit apprehensive about all that fabric at first, being petite, but once I had five inch platforms on, I knew it was the right choice! Adorned with my favorite turquoise Sorrelli jewelry pieces and the flattering Coach aviators, I worked it for the camera. There certainly is something to be said of the magical transformation that happens when one puts on a pair of sunglasses; it’s a little hard to put a finger on it, but certainly an air of confidence, mystery, and utter chic pervade.

Resonating this sentiment for my second look, I wore a drop dead gorgeous white Helmut Lang confection, that although it possessed contemporary details, it emanated a very 1920s vibe. Matching the angularity of the dress and color with a pair of Vogue Cat Eye frames (sold exclusively at Sunglass Hut), the smoldering sexiness of the dress was truly brought to life via the shades. I ended up snagging the Vogue shades, a retro 1950s thick black Prada pair, and Gucci Hollywood starlet tortoise frames. Stay tuned for more info from the campaign!
