Centrally located and hugging the north east corner of Union Square, the salon and spa offers all of the high quality services and products as the other locations with expert stylists, aestheticians, colorists, and makeup artists rendering them, with a decidedly downtown vibe. Prices are very reasonable for New York City, ranging from $22 for the essential manicure and $40 for a blow out to $80 for a 25 minute time saver massage.
While there, I received a blow out from Ty, who previously was at the Fifth Avenue location that I frequent, who did an amazing job infusing volume, shine, and bounce into my otherwise limp locks using some of my favorite products from Kérastase. Afterward, Nancy at the Beauty Bar station used some of my most favorite Elizabeth Arden cosmetics (Red Door Red lipstick!) and enhanced my look for evening, as I was heading to a fancy cocktail party straight from the salon. While there, you can also try the Custom Color Foundation option, Elizabeth Arden’s exclusive technology, which is meant to locate the perfect foundation for your particular skin tone. I had a blast at the salon, and with so many options available for a range of budgets and time constraints, I’m sure you will too!
The Red Door is located at 200 Park Avenue at 17th Street; call to make an appointment at 212-388-0222 or book online.
