I have a lot of fun at Fashion Pulse Daily sharing the latest fashion and beauty trends and products along with news, styling tips, and shopping advice, however the meaning behind the way that we select, wear, and pair our garments, on top of how they make us feel, has always been in question, and acted as motivation for me to further explore this cross over between fashion and pyschology. What we wear is absolutely married to the way we feel, there’s no doubt about that!

The timing couldn’t have been better for the latest T.J.Maxx event, as right in line with these thoughts was the subject of the discussion was, “How do women use fashion to express their best self through their lifetime?”  Through a study conducted by developmental and Fashion Psychologist Professor Karen Pine, and a panel discussion along with celebrity style icon, actress and blogger Jamie Chung and Jenn Rogien, costume designer for “Girls” and “Orange is the New Black,” the concept of what “dressing your best self,” means constantly evolves over the course of our lives. Young girls and women in their 30s and 40s were the age ranges that exuded the most inhibition and self-confidence while the ages and stages in between exemplified finding oneself through dress, and transitioning in life through dress as a certifiable, self-expression. See this video T.J.Maxx put together, with women of more ages expressing what they gravitate toward, and how it makes them feel.

Last, just as I have been shopping at T.J.Maxx through literally all of my life stages thus far, you totally can too! See above for some awesome pieces you can pick up at the retailer to dress your best self, with all of the fashionable items for spring in the slide show above selected by Jamie Chung! And of course, I further edited it down to largely accessories, which are THE easiest pieces to transition with, through your various stages of self-expression,

Full Disclosure: Fashion Pulse Daily received a courtesy item from T.J.Maxx at the event.
