Inspired by Hollywood icons from the 1940s and 50s like Marlene Dietrich and Grace Kelly, Prete & Bruno have created a collection that pays homage to classic and elegant ladylike silhouettes. Working from a palette of jewel tones of emerald green complimented by black and gold, the majority of the dresses and suits were paired with bejeweled brooches and chunky gold accessories. Garments ranged from tweed suits to shimmery cocktail dresses in gold or black and long flowing gowns. The models wore updos in a classical bun style to complete these polished and refined looks. Regarding their collection Salvatore Prete and Filippo Bruno said: “We would like to see women exude an authentic elegance. One that belongs to the past but is also modern and sophisticated.” With their lineup for fall, Prete & Bruno have been able to create elegant looks that are imbued with a sense of history, but are ready to elegantly be worn in the twenty first century.
