A steady stream of navy and white is no surprise at a Nautica press preview, however the new range of items that elevate and round out the women’s collections certainly are. More sophisticated than sporty sunglasses make an appearance this spring, along with espadrille wedges that yearn for night of dancing in an exotic locale.
The Nautica Swim collection, a staple for the brand, becomes more streamlined and paired down in its design and prints, bringing it up to par with luxury swimwear lines and looking ultra sleek when worn poolside. Click through the slide show above for my edited selections of spring, including clothing, accessories, and of course, swim wear.

Bathing suit, rash guards, and cover ups, oh my! Looking at swimwear puts me in the mood for (hopefully) countless beach days ahead, while Nautica takes care of the stylish and sporty details that will help yield an optimal performance on the surf or in the sand. Suits range from bandeau top bikini styles to front-zip one pieces; rash guard mesh tops to high-waisted retro bottoms. Easy cover-ups work well on the beach and off, so that you can quickly wrap your hair into a chic chignon or fishtail braid and head to the snack bar or a restaurant and completely ignore those pesky “no shirt, no service” signs. Best of all, prepare for the start of the season by shopping these selections now, available already at Nautica.com. Happy swimming (or sunbathing)!

Look at you,
Nautica! You’re looking might fine for fall and holiday 2015, if I do say so myself! The woman’s lineup for the following season is a refined take on nautical favorites, featuring the brand’s most popular categories of outerwear and sportswear. Cold weather accessories are highlighted, such as wide brim hats and extra cozy, ultra thick scarves, while subtle details take center stage, like exposed zippers, belted waists, and delicate hardware. See the slideshow above for a roundup of my favorites, and hold tight to shop the pieces come fall at Nautica.com!

Great sportswear should be easy to wear, easy to pair, and look effortlessly sophisticated. For spring 2015, Nautica marries styles and functionality with a collection inspired by latitude; a brilliant way to rethink the brand’s hallmark of sailor stripes and nautical motifs. Favorites include comfortable and slightly structured updates to the sheath dresses, form fitted nylon jackets and vests, chambray blouses and lightweight crew neck knits sweaters, all found in a palette of predominantly blue and cream. See the slide show above for my top picks from the collection, which you can shop at Nautica.com in the spring, but there’s also some great holiday gift items, from wallets and tech items to watches, sunglasses, handbags, hats, and robes!
