NARS, the french cosmetics brand, is a mainstay in the beauty world and is a staple for celebrities and real women alike. Jennifer Lopez revealed she was a huge fan of their famous Body Glow product and it seemed like the bronze body make up flew off the shelves. Now Francois Nars, the founder of the brand, has created a 10-piece collection for the NARSSkin line, featuring moisturizers, serums, toners, cleansers, and more..
Not only does Francois Nars have a passion for what women wear to enhance their beauty, he understands the value of taking care of your most important asset first, the skin. The collection has both anti-aging and illuminating properties that help your face glow and look its best even without makeup. All products will be available at Saks Fifth Avenue stores on August 1st and everywhere else starting August 15th.
Francois Nars has partnered with Thakoon Panichgul (of the eponymous label Thakoon) to create a limited edition, six-shade nail collection, inspired by Indian spice markets in a long-wearing, chip-resistant and toluene-, formaldehyde- and DBP-free formula. The hues include: Anardana (Azalea pink), Ratin Jot (Orchid purple), Amchoor (Bright yellow), Kutki (Powder blue), Koliary (Cyan blue), Lal Mirchi (Mandarin red; only available at NARS 413 Bleecker Street Boutique) retail for $18 and are available starting May 1st.
Also from NARS: the summer 2012 collection! Expect warm earth tones and deep shimmery shades, epitomized in the Ramatuelle
Trio Eyeshadow, which includes a silver shade with an apricot and icy peach shade. Our favorites from the line include a deep sheer purple lipstick, apricot-hued blush, nude beige pink lip pencil, and a seashell pink nail polish hue. Shop the items, priced from $18-$45, starting April 15th at NarsCosmetics.com.
New York Fashion Week Backstage Interviews were a blast this season; here I interviewed behind-the-scenes at Joy Cioci for Style Coalition with NARS International Lead Makeup Stylist Uzo, and Tommy Buckett of Marie Robinson Salon.
