Maybelline It Girl of the Day: Me! Plus a Massive Maybelline Giveaway!

Today is my birthday, and Maybelline made it EXTRA special by featuring me as their daily “It” girl on their NYC365 page! How wonderful! I was thrilled to be part of this fun new function of one of my favorite brands of all-time, not to mention I got to be photographed by the awesomely talented Mr. Newton, who will be shooting all of the images found on the Maybelline NYC365 page; a daily glimpse of New York street style paired with exemplary beauty and fashion inspirations for all. I love flipping through the dates of previous “it” girls from the streets of New York, checking out how they might have chosen to pair a bright lip or smokey eyes with everyday clothes. Coolest of all, I love the tips at the bottom from the incredible Charlotte Willer, Global Makeup Artist for Maybelline.

Maybelline Does Backstage Beauty for Spring 2011

One of my favorite parts of going backstage is to be able to chat with Charlotte Willer of Maybelline regarding the amazing looks she’s created for the upcoming season. Maybelline Sweet Thing Collection

This March Maybelline New York launches the ‘Sweet Thing Collection’ – a candy-inspired group of colors that includes fabulous pastels and brights to suit your spring-fever fancy. Found at the same price point and most of the retailers that carry Maybelline, the new product range is for lips, eyes, and nails too! The limited edition line comes in the same formulation for the Color Sensational Lip Gloss, Express Finish Nail Color, Eye Express Cream Shadow Stick and the Expert Wear Duo Eye Shadow. I was lucky enough to try out the products from the range, along with some sweet mini cupcakes from Baked by Melissa (sooo delicious!). My absolute favorites: Color Sensational Triple Yun Lip Gloss ( a great coral/pink color), Express Finish Nail Color in Minty, Eye Express Cream Shadow Stick in A La Mauve, and Expert Wear Duo Eye Shadow in Goody Plum Drop.
