Maybelline New York’s Summer 2015 New Product Launches!

This time of year is my favorite for many reasons (summertime! warm weather fashion! food! Hawaiian shaved ice!), however I always anticipate and sincerely look forward to the release of Maybelline’s new products. Most will be hitting shelves this month, with a few on the docket for July. Here’s a rundown of what you need to know about the latest and greatest products from the brand, which can easily be found at mass marker retailers nationwide at affordable prices!

  • Volum’Express The Colossal Chaotic Mascara ($7.77 each) brings volume to the next level, recommending to sweep horizontally across lashes, then to go back in vertically to build up some heightened volume.
  • Baby Lips Moisturizing Lip Gloss ($4.49 each) featuring oils and Vitamin E, smooths and softens for four hours, and found in 12 shades with glossy finishes. Broken into three categories: the Shimmers, the Creams, the Jellies.
  • Eye Studio Lasting Drama Waterproof Gel Pencil ($7,99 each) is like playing with an extra fine point Sharpie, but better! It’s waterproof, providing up to 16 hours of wear, easily glides on, is smudge-resistant, and has a translucent gel base. Available in five colors.
  • Lip Studio Color Drama Blur Matte Pencil ($8.99 each) This could possibly be my favorite item from the new lineup! A matte, vibrant hue on one end, with a cushioned smudger at the endto perfectly fill in the lips and adjust to your desired level of saturation.

Beauty Tuesday: New from Maybelline in 2015

A new year brings a lot of promises made, but not always kept, however you can always expect tremendous value in extraordinary products from Maybelline. At the end of 2014 I sat done with Yadim, the brand’s globdal makeup artist, to learn about and test the slew of products, and it goes without saying that it was hard to pick favorites! Here’s a breakdown of what to expect on shelves this month (one of each new item is featured in the collage above):

FIT me! Matte + Poreless Foundation (in 16 shades) and Powder by Maybelline New York (in 8 shades) provide medium and blendable coverage in the category that has proven to be a popular one lately; diminishing the size and look of pores. Best for normal to oily skin, the formula gives a matte finish while bledning out skin texture concerns.  $7.99 each

Face:

Master ConcealTM Camouflaging Concealers (5 shades) has a precision tip so that the blendable, concentrated formula dispenses the right amount of product to target the areas that need a little extra help. $8.99 each

Master PrimeTM Weightless Blurring Primers comes in three great options: Blur + Smooth (white), Blur + Illuminate (pink, with SPF 30), and Blur + Redness Control (green), to create a great base before adding in your foundation or powder.  $9.99 each

Lips:

Color Sensational Rebel Bloom Lip Color mimics the hues found on the spring 2015 runways in New York, Paris and Milan in 10 well-pigmented, honey-nectar infused vibrant shades: Petal Pink, Blushing Bud, Barely Bloomed, Power Peony, Peach Poppy, Lilac Flush, Coral Burst, Rose rush, Hibiscus Pop, Orchid Ecstasy. $7.49 each

Color Elixir Iridescents TM by Color Sensational is creamy, shiny, and comes in a burst of eight new shades for 2015! Apply with its enclosed applicator for the ultimate precise lip lacquer look. $8.99 each

Eyes:

Four fab options for eyes appear this month from Maybelline, including the Brow Precise Shaping Pencil, ($7.99 each, in four shades, the waxy formula adheres well to brow hairs), Maybelline New York EYESTUDIO Master Graphic Liquid Liner ($7.99 each, in black only for now, and with an angled tip – it looks like a Sharpie!), EYESTUDIO® Color Molten Duo ($7.99 each, in eight shades, has the most smooth, powdery texture that just glides right on), and the Lash Sensational Mascara ($8.99 each, featuring 10 layers of bristles).

Introducing Maybelline New York’s Newest Products: Long-Lasting Makeup

We’ve all experienced it — you spend a good half an hour meticulously applying foundation, blush, shadows, mascara and lipstick only to devastatingly discover how quickly your  look has vanished upon arrival at your destination. Tragic, perhaps, especially after spending absurd amounts of money on products that promise extended-wearability. Maybelline understands this concern and are excited to announce their newest products devoted to long-wearing makeup! Captivated yet? Read on for details…

[Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush]

FACE:

At last night’s product launch, Maybelline unveiled a “Dream” team trio of long-lasting coverage from a foundation, concealer and a blush. The Dream Nude Airfoam foundation brings air-infused technology to your face. The Dream Lumi Touche highlighter and concealer is a two-in-one gel based imperfection hider. Finally, the Dream Bouncy Blush is as fun as it sounds, while it melts right into your skin. Plus, all application can be done by hand – no brushes needed! Say goodbye to touch-ups; you won’t be missed!

[24 Hour Color Tattoo Cream Shadows]

For mascara, Maybelline shifted focus from volume to length with their new Illegal Lengths mascara. At just $8.95, you’re getting firm, long lashes with innovative 4 mm fibers. The brush, fibers, and formula may prove to make even extensions jealous! Is mascara not enough? Don’t fret, they’ve launched 24 Hour Color Tattoo Cream Shadows to compliment your newly elongated lashes. Thanks to intense pigments and true color payoff, these shadows will not crease or migrate, as cream shadows tend often do. With 10 rad shades from neutral to statement hue varieties, there’s definitely something for work and/or play.
