For the past few years, I’ve made a huge effort to avoid sample sales, no matter how sweet of a deal there seems to be up for grabs, with the exception of one brand: Marimekko. I first discovered the brand on a trip to Switzerland while studying abroad in the early 2000s, and since then, I have been smitten with its signature prints, guaranteed to induce smiles and great style. A few seasons ago I was lucky enough to work with the brand during New York Fashion Week and wear some of its upcoming designs, and I’m so excited that I can now afford to acquire a few pieces into my wardrobe for good, thanks to the Marimekko for Target collection.
What you can expect are over 200 pieces, with most of them coming in at under $50, with a focus on a summer/outdoor motif (the total price range is from $7.99-$499.99). Although I’m fixated on the women’s clothing, you can also shop an array of décor, furniture, entertaining essentials and apparel and accessories for girls. Marimekko for Target will be sold in all Target stores and on Target.com beginning April 17th, and my only question is: how early can I get up on that day to snap up pretty much…everything?
