It looks like the fashion house of  Lacroix is saved by an new buyer!

Tonight I spent several hours in the Liz Claiborne showroom space with some fabulous fellow bloggers and the one and only — Isaac Mizrahi! The event was to screen three promotional film shorts, entitled “Isaac Unplugged” from the fall 2009 ad campaign.

Each one was humorous and a bit cheeky, giving an inside to the world of fashion, Isaac, and naturally, the new look of Liz Claiborne under Isaac’s hand. In order to make the night more memorable, we were each given a Small Wander Digital Recorder by RCA, which was very easy to use, and I think even more lightweight than my Blackberry! After indulging in the Dylan’s Candy Bar treats, cupcakes, popcorn, and appetizers, I meandered over to the new collection on display.

The Isaac Mizrahi Collection for Liz Claiborne New York refreshes the brand as only Isaac can; pops of color, the best of American style,  great knits and bags, and much more ruled the section. I truly believe Isaac can make the brand cross-generational, as I saw plenty of “share” pieces that my Mom and I can get. I  also took home the book “How to Have Style” by isaac Mizrahi, in which Isaac re-styles real women with honest advice and funny anecdotes. Oh Isaac, how I love you so!
