On my trip out west to New Mexico, it felt natural to wear my new Levi‘s, since the brand has been doing good old classic blue jeans and western wear since…well…way before my time! I’m a boyfriend jeans girl, so when asked by Levi’s to pick out a courtesy pair from the new collection, I had no doubt in my mind what style I was going to indulge in. I’m sure you’ve heard of the classic 501 style by Levi’s, a silhouette that as of late, has been worn by fashion editors and stylish guys alike, but it’s been reborn for a versatile, modern fit with the 501CT (also available for both men and women).
The new style is straighter at the waist, smaller in the behind, and features a slightly more taken in inseam. The interesting thing about it is that the sizing is…totally up to you! Stick to your usual size for a big of baggy, go up one or two sizes for extra bagginess, or down one or two for a fitted look. I stuck pretty true to size, since I love the roominess of a boyfriend jean; it’s effortless without even trying. I loved the style so much that I promptly whipped out my credit card to spring for a second pair in a different wash.
If you like Levi’s but are not a boyfriend jeans person, try the new 700 series of super skinny jeans that have great stretch and a seamless look.
