I never was a person who believed in multiple products, unless they were combined into one — less money to spend, and less to carry was always my motto! In the summer especially, I love that my moisturizer I put on in the morning daily also has SPF in it, which means dual benefits without having to worry about grabbing for the sunscreen. One problem though — what happens later in the day when the benefits start to wear off, and I’m outside for an extended duration of time? That just means re-application, but my 6 oz bottle of moisturizer is not going to travel with me — there’s only so much room in my bag, and I really don’t want to risk a huge creamy mess in my handbag if it starts to leak!
Back to the subject: I recently discovered The Plaza Beauty by Warren-Tricomi, a pristine shop that offers hand-selected items from a variety of reknowned beauty and home brands, located in the Grand Concourse Level of The Plaza Hotel. They were kind enough to let me try out the Korres Suncare Watermelon Face Sunscreen Stick with an SPF of 30, and I couldn’t wait to relay to the FPD readers how cool this thing is! I’ve always been a fan of the Greek brand Korres, known for their natural ingredients, and am now smitten with the duality of the Watermelon face stick. For starters, no grease, no mess, no purse melting; the stick goes on smoothly, and left my skin feeling as if there really wasn’t any sunscreen on it, that could come to the surface as soon as I started to perspire. It’s also safe for children and lips — would you ever think of applying regular sunscreen to your lips – I think not! Plus there’s more: it doubles as a highlighter, so you can accent your cheeks and brows- ingenious! Besides all of these wonderful things, it’s non comedogenic, and free of parabens, mineral oils, silicone, propylene glycol, and ethanolamine. So there you have it – multiple functions, one product, and a great price: $24.50. A little goes a long way, so you’ll be sure to get a great bang for your buck!
