Seeking inspiration, and on the quest for how to carve a little more time for important creative projects has been the motif of the week, and as much as I’ve been wanting to get ahead of the game before fashion week, sometimes life, and bad weather, just happen, creating a bit of a snafu for the already tightly packed schedule.
I’m glad to be able to bring forth the incredibly exciting and fun fashion and beauty news for you featured below, and hope it sends you off into a happy, cozy, lazy weekend!

Psychologist Patricia O’Gorman brings forth her ninth book in the form of The Girly Thoughts 10-Day Detox Plan: The Resilient Woman’s Guide to Saying NO to Negative Self-Talk and YES to Personal Power, and is a valuable insight into the negative self-talk that we do to ourselves, that can truly be quite toxic to our self-esteem. At the end of each chapter, the reader is met with easy, but meaningful exercises to identify, understand, and reposition thoughts in order to change behavior to be more resilient and kind to ourselves.
Having read a fair share of self-help and feminist texts in my day, I thought that I may know the majority of the content already, but much to my surprise, O’Gorman delved into specifics that I hadn’t ever contemplated, and realized that in some aspects, I was being hard on myself, even though I always just assumed it was society and not me that were setting these standards. Definitely worth a read for my fellow FPD’ers, as well making a great gift from a mother to a daughter.
