[The JINsoon Summer 2016 Rose Balsam Collection in Crush]
Leave it to Jin Soon Choi to tell a beautiful story surrounding her most recent polish tints, which are inspired by her youth in Korea. Jin and her friends would mash up the petals and leaves of balsam flowers, wrap around the nails and secure in place, so that the nail bed would be saturated with the color, creating a long lasting tint that would stay until the nail grew out. For summer 2016, Jin created Blush, a soft sheer pink, and Crush, sheer orange, which are reminiscent of the hand made flower petal tints. The polishes also possess a slightly floral fragrance, in accord with their origin story. As always, all JINsoon formulas are 5-free, created without the chemicals of formaldehyde, toluene, DBP, formaldehyde resin and camphor while maintaining a high gloss, long lasting, chip-proof, quick-drying shine and finish.
The new flagship JINsoon spa, located at 37 Walker Street, opens tomorrow, Wednesday, May 25th, and features a stark white and wood streamlined, minimalist space, that inherits and expands upon the space’s previous art gallery tenants.
The polishes are available for $18 each at JINsoon spas, select Space NK and Barneys NY locations. Make your online reservation for a mani or pedi (or both!) at the new location, here. If you’ve never been to a JINsoon spa before (there are now four locations in Mahattan), I recommend one of my favorite treatments, either the Breathe of Milk & Honey, or Flower Petal Float.
