I had the pleasure of attending Nolcha Fashion Week over at the Metropolitan Pavilion a few days ago and getting to talk to some awesome eco-designers as well as see a fab fashion show featuring Daisy & Elizabeth an eco-friendly lingerie line, which was hot. My favorite pieces were those that combined the tangerine orange straps with tan bodices. Click here to read the rest at GreenHouseOfFashion.com

Green with Envy: Stewart + Brown Summer 2011 (GreenHouseofFashion Guest Post)
Guest post via Green House of Fashion:
Recently on my radar and quickly rising the ranks of my obsessions is Stewart + Brown. This ethical fashion brand launched in 2002 in L.A., California. According to the website, “inspired by their love and respect for nature and a passion for design, Karen [Stewart] and Howard [Brown] were filled with a sense of purpose and determined to pioneer the sustainable fashion movement.”
The stunning look above consists of 100% organic rio tee, bandage reversible skirt and anorak top. Le sigh.
Stewart +Brown designs use only organic cotton and green fabrics. All pieces are made from renewable fibers, sustainably harvested and cultivated without the use of herbicides, pesticides or defoliant. Plus, the fibers themselves are naturally resilient and biodegradable!

Eco-Designer Love: Susan Woo (Guest Post: Green House of Fashion)
This post is from the lovelies at Green House of Fashion
Susan Woo‘s work is described as eco-friendly fashion for New York women, so obviously I felt a kinship to her and to her clothing. Her designs are basic and chic as hell and I feel like she really did get New York women in a nutshell. Sure, there are days where we like to be all bohemian and wild or whatever, but there is something to be said for the straight lines and structured sophistication that her designs have to offer.
Her fabrics are 100% eco-friendly and sourced from companies who also care about the environment, so double-awesome-whammy. Her fall collection, the one you’re looking at, is made from organic wools, cotton and cashmeres, just so ya know.
Check out more pics of her Fall 2011 Collection on her website, susanwoonyc.com. What do you think??
