My week was catapulted into beauty goodies and  fun with the COVERGIRL Summer Beauty ReMix Event, with brand spokeswoman Sofia Vergara, and music curated by deejays Liv and Mim Nervo (NERVO). There were plenty of stations available to play and take some of the company’s new products, hitting shelves nationwide this July.

I sat back in the “Ink It! Parlor” for an amazing cat eye to be drawn on me with a charcoal waterproof Ink It! pencil, then made my way around to get custom matched for my CC Cream and Foundation shades. See the slideshow above for my perspective of experiencing the new products before they hit the shelves.

New York Fashion Week with COVERGIRL

At the fabulous fashion week retreat, the Style Coalition NYFW Influencer Lounge, I was able to relax, eat some delish food, and get beautified by skilled makeup artists. COVERGIRL products abounded at the beauty stations, and so did a bevy of glamorous looks from finger tips, to eye lashes! Saying that I am addicted to COVERGIRL’s LIPPERFECTION in ‘flame’  is a bit of an understatement (try more like you will never find me without it!), so I was super excited to try three of the brand’s new products, as I expected a similar, covetous reaction to Clump Crusher by LashBlast Mascara, Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation, & Outlast Stay Brilliant Nail Gloss.

For me, all three of these products are fashion week survival essentials since I need a good, reliable mascara to open the eyes, a brilliantly-hued opaque polish to decorate my digits, and a concealer and foundation combo that will smooth and cover any signs of exhaustion which are CERTAIN to be present! Thank goodness for the nail and makeup artists found at the lounge, as it was fully equipped with plenty of COVERGIRL products to test, and you KNOW I tend to be in desperate need of a touch up or two after all of the running around that occurs throughout the week!

Clump Crusher by LashBlast Mascara: no clumps! Go ahead and layer on the strokes — it.won’t.happen. No almost poking your eye out either; the curved wand helps you grab every lash in one fell swoop, so you won’t have to angle the brush dangerously close to your peepers. Four fab shades — I LOVE this, as I tend to be a brown mascara girl, and it’s hard to find a good one; I have TWO options with the new Clump Crusher — yippee!

Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation: caked on makeup is not in, and hopefully never will be, so don’t feel that you will ever have to resort to that look. This foundation packs a primer, concealer, AND foundation into one step to save you time, money, and comes in a ton of shades for a perfect match (14). Through micro-correctors, microscopic topography modifiers, and polymer technology, or as I’d like to call it, magic, you get lightweight, yet full, incredible coverage.


Outlast Stay Brilliant Nail Gloss: I LOVE nail polish, and truly feel naked without it; I’d rather paint my nails and be late for an appointment than show up without anything on them! If you’re like me, you’ll love that you can choose from 45 colors, perfect for mixing and matching, and creating two of my favorite current nail-trend looks: a bright French tip, and a half moon mani! Plus these polishes have a built in top coat and dry super duper fast, so you may be able to paint your nails…and still be on time for that appointment!
