There is no doubt that New York City is a walking city; I can’t tell you the numerous times I’ve done a ‘footwear switcharoo’ when I’m within a block of my destination from flats into heels, as it’s just not humanely possible (or safe) to wear four-inch (or higher) heels every second one is outside of the apartment!
Courtesy of PlanetShoes.com, an online shoe retailer since 2001 (more on PlanetShoes.com below), I tried out a pair of the Indigo by Clarks Plush Bea, a super-cushioned pair of ballet flats with an OrthoLite footbed and gel-pad rubber outsole, featuring a leather cut-out design on the uppers. Sporting them in classic black, they looked great everywhere from an office meeting to a night out afterwards at MOMA this past Friday night. After wearing the pair only once, I confidently threw them in my bag as my only other pair of shoes for my New Orleans long weekend vacation as well; they were that comfortable! If you’d like to switch out classic black for another shade, the style also comes in natural (a pale beige/tan hue), or grey green, which are certain to look great once the warmer weather arrives.
About PlanetShoes.com:
Based in Waltham, Massachusetts, and dedicated to eco-friendly, wellness, and vegan shoes, PlanetShoes.com also offers major footwear brands such as Sorel, Ecco, Sperry, Kenneth Cole Reaction, Kork-Ease, The North Face, Sofft, Sanuk, Vintage Shoe Company, and more. The site has a mission to carry comfortable, stylish and well-made shoes, but what I love most about them is that PlanetShoes.com not only promotes green products but also takes major strides toward supporting other green initiatives such as NuRide, 1% For The Planet, Carbonfund.org, and more.
