Flash sale websites like Belle & Clive sometimes surprise our inner bargainista by selling gently used (which they’ll call vintage) Hermès Birkin handbags at a fraction of their original prices. However, even with a second-hand price tag, I still can’t afford a one.
Normally a new Birkin can cost anywhere from $7,000 to $150,000 depending on fabrication and hardware. So a used one will still run you a few thousand dollars. At one time, there used to be a waiting list to purchase a new Birkin bag, but in 2010 Hermès put an end to that practice.
