American Eagle Outfitters (AEO) for fall 2016 pulls out all the staples necessary for the upcoming season. From comfy ripped denim to loose-fitting knitwear and graphic tees, the collection truly embodies the laid-back look.

Denim is the most well-known item from the brand, and this season will surely not disappoint. Check out the AEO Denim X Straight Jean in Out to Play (slide 12, $49.95), the Boy Midi Short in Light Destroy (slide 10, $44.95), and the Tomgirl Jean in Shadow Patched Blues (slide 8, $59.95). Also included, and well-fitting for the look of the collection, are woven bomber jackets, boyfriend-cut plaid shirts, and lightweight bodysuits perfect for a day of lounging. In accessories, fall 2016 features plenty of layered and pendant necklaces, chokers, and round-shaped sunglasses.

Prices for fall range from $13 to $285, so it’s easy to find that perfect new piece, no matter what your budget may be. Most affordable, and a personal favorite, are the accessories (see the Choker Necklace in Black, $12.95, and the Triangle Pendant Necklace in Gold, $12.95). On the other end of the spectrum is the footwear, which ranges from laid back loafers to over-the-knee boots. Consider splurging on one of these high quality pairs, like the brand Swedish Hasbeens T-Strap Sandals (slide 7, $269).

Sneak Peek: AEO Summer 2016 Collection

American Eagle Outfitters (AEO) for summer 2016 has a range of trends that you’ll be in the mood for when the season arrives, such as chambray, boho, crochet, and “borrowed from the boys.” Laid-back and easy-going encompasses the mood of this collection, with the inclusion of flowing wide leg bottoms, strappy sandals, loose fitting beach coverups, and peasant blouses. A usual staple for AEO, denim, is also prominent in the summer look book. Paired with colorful bohemian prints, stamped statement necklaces, and lace trimmed tanks and tees, it’s a look anyone can get on board with. In the accessories department, summer 2016 features woven sun hats, oversized sunglasses, and printed tote bags, all perfect for the beach.

With prices ranging from $16 to $159, it’s a cinch to find a piece or two that will quickly and affordably update a summer wardrobe. Most tops are priced somewhere in the middle (see the Lace Inset Cami, slide 12, $29.95), as is the denim (see the High Rise Festival Shorties, slide 15, $49.95). Most affordable are the accessories, like the super on-trend sunglasses in both tortoise and aviator styles ($15.95).

Since according to Punxsutawney Phil, spring is just a few short months away, and once the summer heat kicks in, these on-trend filmy blouses and short shorts will feel all the more delightful.
