Kicking off Fashion Week this season was the third annual Fashion 2.0 Social Media Awards, and it was OUT of this world! With Robert Verdi as the host and Norma Kamali as the keynote speaker, it was truly a night to remember! Kamali waxed poetic about her deep-seeded love of technology, and how now is such an exciting time to be living, working, and being apart of the incredible changes in our world and culture thanks to technology. I loved her constant sense of curiosity, desire to learn, and how modest she is about what a tremendous trailblazer she’s been in her career.
The 2012 Fashion 2.0 Awards Winners from the night included:
Best Twitter: @DKNY
Best Facebook: Bergdorf Goodman
Best Blog by a Fashion Brand: DKNY PR Girl
Best Website: Marc Jacobs
Best Mobile App: Tiffany & Co. Engagement Ring Finder
Best Online Video: Prada Spring/Summer 2011 Video Campaign
Next Big Thing in Tech: Instagram
Top Innovator: Kate Spade
Fashion 2.0 Visionary Award: Alexis Maybank and Alexandra Wilkis Wilson, Co-Founders, Gilt Groupe
I hope you enjoy some of the pics from the night, below (and one of me presenting “Best Facebook”)

I haven’t had my iPhone for even a month yet, and I’ve already been thinking of all the ways I can outfit my new gadget. Courtesy of Case-Mate, I tested out a vibrant, neon-hued confection that boasts ingenuity and foresight with a built-in kick stand. The iPhone 4 / 4S Pop! Case with Stand, $40, has a great rubberized texture and protective features for all of your buttons, plus converts to a handy dandy upright or sideways device (see mine, pictured) so that you can more easily view and type. It’s a great idea to prop and charge it next to your nightstand, especially when you use the alarm clock feature, plus your phone doesn’t sop up any residue, grease, bacteria, etc, that can be found a surface that you may rest your phone upon.
Don’t have an iPhone? No problemo! Case-Mate also has variations of the Pop! Cases for HTC, Samsung, Blackberry, and more!

[Anya, the winner of “Project Runway” Season 9, using HP technology]
What a wrap on Season 9 of “Project Runway“! Did you watch it? Viktor and Anya’s collections were my faves, so glad one of them took home the grand prize and title as winner.

Just like I did for the for the first episode of the season, I attended the Style Coalition / “Project Runway” Season 9 finale party courtesy of the gracious HP (Hewlett Packard), with many surprises on board, including Project Runway contestants making an appearance (Suede!), a HP TouchSmart desktop PC design competition, and super sweet cupcake treats adorned with HP’s logo, as well as measuring tape decor and white chocolate pieces of scissors on top.

Anya, the winner of the HP and Intel design challenge, was named the overall winner of season nine of Lifetime’s “Project Runway,” and gets the $50,000 technology suite.
[The HP “Project Runway” cupcake tree!]
Throughout this season of “Project Runway,” designers used the latest HP EliteBook Tablet PC notebooks with second-generation Intel® Core™ i7 processors to create designs and the HP TouchSmart desktop PCs to make original fabrics using touch-enabled software.
