Folks these days rely heavily on their phones to keep track of the passing minutes, which means watches have to work extra hard to remain on wrists and relevant. One straightforward way of doing so is by adding in a heavy fashion element to time keeping, which can be found on the face or bands (or both) of watches. Considering it to be more of an accessory than necessity also makes wearing a watch less of a chore and more of a style-must. See above for some of my favorites, and below for their links.

The anklet (ankle bracelet) went the way of the toe ring for many years, buried into oblivion or, rather, at the bottom of our jewelry bins! As trends tend to cycle in and out of popularity, with all things ’90s, it’s on the rise once again, however has now become more refined and delicate, in line with the current trend of ultra-thin jewelry such as stackable and midi rings, layered bangles, and charm necklaces.
Find one in an all-over singular tone, such as silver or gold, keeping the chain thin and uncomplicated. Most come in sizes ranging from 9-11 inches, so it’s best to try them on or make sure they are adjustable before purchasing. Be sure to pair it with footwear styles that accommodate and lengthen, rather than square off your silhouette by having too many straps and hardware around the ankle.
With the return of the mule, the anklet wasn’t too far behind! This is definitely a look that is reserved for summer/warmer weather, so try it now before Labor Day arrives.

They say the spikier the jewelry…the cooler the look. Well, not exactly; nobody says that, that I know of, however, I think that this recently spotted trend may be indicating that it’s actually true! It’s come to my attention that the stud trend in jewelry is moving from a clear cut triangle shape that comes together to make a square to more of an elongated, conical one, and it feels like a logical, and stylish, progression.
Count me in, and you can find a variety of styles from bracelets and rings to earrings and necklace at a variety of price points, with my selections (see links below) starting out at $10. Enjoy finding the piece that you’ll love, and in the meanwhile, if you think of a better name for this trend than ” Super Pointy Pyramid Jewelry,” please do make a suggestion in the comment box below!

A cool remnant from an era that my mom refers to as BC (before children), my first ever resin bracelet as a teen was a hand-me-down from her that was a tortoiseshell hued cuff with threading wrapped around the middle, but alas, it was so cool it wasn’t meant to last. Much to my dismay, upon its maiden voyage, it almost immediately slid off my slender wrist, crashed to the ground, and promptly broke in half. Yikes!
Luckily, resin bracelets are a little sturdier today and can endure more abuse, but also are available in a great range of shapes and saturation, from rounded, geometrically angled, and open-backed to translucent, transparent, or completely opaque in their coloring. I feel that they are certainly coming back into popularity again, and although you can line your wrists and arms up and down with them, a single, sleek one looks equally as cool.
