I’m fairly certain that the last time I fully embraced sheer pantyhose was in the late ’90s during high school, when date dances, homecoming, and other formal and semi-formal events were strangely occurring quite often. It was always a challenge to successfully navigate them when sandals or open toe heels were part of the look, but otherwise they felt professional and made my legs look so darn smooth and skinny!
The sheer has taken a backseat to the opaque tight in recent years, but thanks to the use of them on runways and celebrities, it looks like they are certainly making a solid comeback! Go nude or go black for starters, but either way, be sure to carefully bunch them up and keep clear nail polish in your bag in lieu of a snag! Some of my favorites, at a variety of price points are found above, with the links available below.

As much as I love the complete looks from the runways, the accessories, for me, is really what makes my heart race, my pulse quicken. I hope you’re with me on this, as I’m about to share some of the most amazing accessories (in my opinion) from the Milan and Paris runways! Check out my previous post on runway accessories from New York, London, and a bit of Milan, and even some favorites from the fall 2014 collections, which are quite appropriate for now, since the season is upon us!
The trends that seem to be emerging for spring 2015, based on these amazing pieces, include over-the-top bow detailing, white white white (shoes, handbags), ’70s shapes and prints, suede, exotic skins, and utilitarian bags; which is your favorite?

It’s no secret that FPD is all about accessories, so of course we would pay special attention to shoes, bags, jewelry, and any other accessory-like accoutrement that finds its way down the runway for spring 2015! See the slideshow above for some the greatest objects that we’ve seen thus far, where trend call-outs include structured bags, thickly strapped flatform sandals, the heavy use of tassels, oversized jewels, and vibrant prints. Check out some of favorite accessory-spotting moments from shows Cynthia Rowley, Gucci, Tom Ford, Fendi, Topshop Unique, and more!

It’s so interesting to see the wide range of sartorial choices that people make to wear to fashion week, as well as a sneak peek of what to expect for the upcoming season by what’s worn on the runway. There’s no denying that sky high heels aren’t going anywhere, but on the contrary, comfort still prevails by way of slip-ons and lace-up sneakers.
One major, undeniable trend in footwear is white leather, with every style from sandals to brogues reigning supreme. Another is metallic shoes — from Birkenstock styles to flatforms and wedges, super shiny metallic shades were major, as well as ones with a holographic finish to them.
Black and white combos were also all over, from the runway to the show attendees, which is also a super easy coupling to pair with practically everything in your existing wardrobe.
Last, flat, thickly strapped sandals, with no, or a cushy marshmallow sole are going to be everywhere for spring 2015; you may want to decide now if you love or hate the look so that you can get a pair (or not) ahead of time.
See the slideshow above for some of my absolute favorites found on the patrons and runways of New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2015 collections.
