Although Maybelline does many things exceptionally well, mascara is really at the root of the company, being the first product it ever created. The latest offering, One by One Volum’ Express, debuts four years of research in the making, spawning “The Last Catcher,” an elastomer brush that catches, coats, and declumps each individual lash. After giving the new mascara a test run, the tapered shape of the brush left me certainly clump free, with lash definition, opposed to one long, fanned lash look. The Maybelline One by One Volum’ Expres hits shelves this January 2011, with options in three washable and two waterproof shades.
Available at Target, and other beauty and drugstore chains nationwide.

I have recently accepted the fact that I may never look like a Victoria’s Secret Angel in the goods, but at least I can still get some practical underwear on sale!
I don’t know about you, but I was thinking it’s a good idea to start the New Year out with some new underwear; my bras have definitely seen better days. I hope I’m not giving you too much information, but I’m a huge fan of Victoria’s Secret Wireless Bras but will never pay full price. And, I like that you can search the site for your size, which will even scour sale items — I think it actually results in a bigger purchase for me, but I don’t mind since it’s so convenient
Plus, I recently discovered that the PINK collection offers a Pink NFL section, and since I’m from Pittsburgh, I’ve got to get a Steelers tee! Happy Shopping and Happy New Year!

No one wants to, nor should they, pay full price for designer bags. Enter Guiltless Purse – a GREAT sample sale site where you can shop fabulous brands like Treesje, Cole Haan, Botkier, Alexander McQueen, Lauren Merkin, and more for a fraction of the retail price. On a recent perusing session at the site, I found Furla handbags for $60, and Abaco bags for $242, which means it won’t be difficult to click on through and add a new designer bag to my collection! Guiltless Purse also offers jewelry and accessories, so check it from time to time for new brands, products, and amazing deals !

Good art is hard to come by — affordable art, as in $20 — almost impossible. When I met Jen Bekman of 20×200 a year ago, I was floored by the concept of her site –great, original works of art, for $20! The prices vary, depending on the artist and size, but you can get a 8X10 piece of original artwork for $20. I gave a few pieces to friends via gift certificates this holiday season so that they could pick out their own art, own a few pieces myself, and just love the concept! Here are some pieces you can get, with the 8X10s at $20 — check out the site, and keep it in your mind for a unique gift giving idea!
